[OH! Vols] Urban Sketching Workshop

Join us for an Urban Sketching Workshop!

What do we notice when we slow down and really look?

Spearheaded by OH! Community Builders, this urban sketching workshop invites volunteers to take a closer look at Golden Mile through drawing. Rather than simply “drawing the building”, participants will explore different ways of observing and interpreting the space — noticing its architectural details, textures, and forms, as well as the stories they might reveal about the place.

Through sketching, participants will experiment with different approaches to urban drawing while considering how our own ways of looking can shape what we notice and how we understand a place. Participants will also develop their understanding and application of the elements of art and principles of design through drawing.
